Sandalee - middle slabs

The mezzanine slab area on the climb up to the Sandalee Glacier. After getting through the first cliff band via the streamcourse you will come to a flatter area of talus. Up ahead is the next slabby cliff band. Were it not for one gully directly ahead (pink arrow), this band might have been a problem. The gully was Class 3 but featured two wet moves above a drop-off. Once above this gully, after a few hundred more yards of slabs, you will finally get to snow at the glacier's lowest reach. July 30, 2006.
