Sandia range

The Sandia Mountains are a mountain range immediately to the east of the city of Albuquerque in New Mexico. The range is largerly within the Cibola National Forest, and part of the range is protected as the Sandia Mountain Wilderness. Its highest point is Sandia Crest, 10,678 feet (3,255 m). Sandia means watermelon in Spanish, and is believed to be a reference to the reddish color of he mountain at sunset.

Thank you so much. It is hard to imagine, that it was hailing about 30 min before I took this photo, and the sky was completely dark...but then sun came out, and the light, clouds, fresh snow, mountains looked so beautiful...
