| ChrisMozzy | Route Climbed: Wasdale Head / Brown Tongue / Lingmell Col Date Climbed: July 2005 ![]() | |
| Climbed up via Brown Tongue and Lingmell Col in bad weather - cloud from about 650m severly reduced visibility, and high winds rendered the summit pretty inhospitable. We intended to descend via Great End but due to the bad weather decided to descend the way we went up. Hope to get up again and make it a more interesting day out. | ||

| I've heard there is amazing veiws from the top, but I didn't see them. Visability was about 5 metres, which made things quite difficult. I literally dragged my mum up the last scramble. On the way down it got dark (being November very early) but had luckely reach the strem, which I could follow back to Seathwaite | ||

| As a Cumbrian I have been "summiting" the pike since I was a lad! The Corridor Route, Brown Tongue from Wasdale, The Styhead Route and the Esk Hause Route. Done 'em all, summer and winter. | ||

| The descent down little narrow cove and the upper Eskdale was pleasantly quiet after the summit bank-holiday hordes. | ||

| Andy Kennedy | Route Climbed: From Eskdale over the top and down to Wasdale Date Climbed: 14 August 2004 ![]() | |
| Spledid approach from Eskdale, a stunningly wild little valley and virtually deserted of people. Sadly no view from the summit but we bivied down at hollow stones for the night and only got a little damp! | ||

| Attic Tony | Route Climbed: from Great Langdale Date Climbed: 16th April 2003 ![]() | |
| Was in the Lake District for work purposes, but I made sure I found time to climb the highest mountain in England. As luck has it I chose a lovely day for it, though I left too late so didn't have time to return via Esk Pike and Bow Fell as intended. Instead I went down the way I came up and was back in time for dinner and a few drinks in the pub. | ||

| Had a great day in fairly dreadful weather - it meant that very few other people were up there. A fairly easy walk but enjoyable. I hope to come back to the area when there is some snow about. | ||

| The more interesting route for me would be the corridoor route, then return via Broad crag and Esk Hause. Winter up via Great Ends gullies. Crampons Axes an rope in use. Climbed into Custs Gully on a dull misty morning with Johnathan...........dead end, just as Wainwright said, try the branch gully to the right. The top part is the only place that lets the mountain down .....a bit less interesting. | ||

| This was an excellent trip out, the walk up to Scafell Pike has some excellent views. We climbed off of Scafell Pike onto Mickledore, then we did an easy grade1/2 scramble up the North Face of Sca Fell, which really finished the day in style. Well worth a trip out. | ||
