Scarlet Gilia
Ipomopsis aggregata encountered along North Loop Trail.
Mummy's Toe (a subpeak on Mummy Mountain) is in the background.
Spring Mountains, Nevada. June 2008.

These wildflowers belong to the Polemoniaceae- Phlox Family.
They can be found from the lowest elevations to high mountains and bloom all summer.
