Route Climbed: Normal route from Maria Luggau Date Climbed: Sept 24th 2004
Easy but steep ascent through dense forrests to Rauter Alm. From there on exposed to the changing weather. Had to hide from a hail storm in a hay cabin. Found carved inscriptions dating back to 1941. Reached the summit just before the wind turned from west to east and chased us from the mountain.
"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."
--Oscar Wilde on Absinthe
