Summitted with Jack - very enjoyable climb. Eichorn's Pinnacle was the highlight for me, by far! The views are fantastic and the climbing very clean. Three parties at 05:30 at the trailhead... And another one already on the route when we got there. Good thing for the early start too, because thunderstorms moved in unusually early. Easy descent back to the JMT from the pinnacle.
Over 13 hours round trip; 3 to 4 hours waiting on ledges for our turn in the que, but what do you expect on a holiday weekend? Otherwise this is a "must do" classic.

Swapped leads both times. Did the 5.7 variations to the right and to the left of the chimney. Still haven't done the chimney :)
Each time I've had to deal with multiple parties at belays, crossed ropes, etc. Fun, great scenery, not too hard .. that's why everyone else is there too !

Awesome climb!
Gorgeous day. Got an early start and climbed in 2 groups - Dave and Mustafa on 1 rope, Jillian and myself on the other.
Quick trip to Tuolumne on the GS to solo Cathedral. Beautiful weather and relatively quiet for a Sunday.

Cold and Windy
Despite the winds and occasional snow/hail flurries, the weather stayed just good enough for us to finish the climb. Fun route! The chimney was quite the pain in the butt with a pack on, though, but good practice leading offwidth as well!

Fun climbing, nice summitClimbed this back in the late 80s/early 90s with Bob Beach. Soloed all but the last pitch, which is a great finish. Need to go back and do Eichorn.

1st trad route for meawesome alpine rock climb, easy to protect, beautiful scenery, and bomber holds...what more can you ask for, seriously? Plentiful variations as well.
