Blue Bird Day  Sucess!

Hiked up with my wife on a perfect day in August. It was a bit surreal seeing (most) everyone wearing masks because of the Covid pandemic. At least, the crowds were minimal due to the crowd restrictions in Yosemite.

Another dome off the list  Sucess!

Great views, but hard to take some of them in with people crawling all over the rock. It was honestly easier to concentrate on the landscape at Glacier Point...

From Valley Floor, 4-mile, Pohono, Sentinel Dome Trails.  Sucess!

The 4-mile trail is one of the finest in the park, add Sentinel Dome for a > 12 mile round-trip; awesome views the entire way. There was still a little snow on the NE side of the dome.

Great little rest hike. Views from the top are great 360 degrees. Easy for everyone even with the snow on top.

Yosemite wow  Sucess!

I've heard of Yosemite... but being from Utah, never really felt the need to explore other national parks, since we are so blessed with an abundance of playgrounds here. But wow, Yosemite might be the most breathtaking of all the national parks that I have been to. What an incredible place!

Unbelievable views  Sucess!

From the trailhead, enjoyed the insane views, then down to Glacier Point. Climbed again the next day with family. Be aware there are many yellow jackets up there.

Spent the day here at sunset with my husband on a long weekend camping trip. Although I have been here before, the views never disappoint.

Done several times, approximate date of last ascent. Great views for little effort, and relatively uncrowded (by Yosemite standards).

Pleasantly surprised  Sucess!

Short hike trying to keep my legs loose after a long hike with ample elevation gain the day before. Didn't want to go to the tourist trap go Glacier Point, so I picked Sentinel Dome instead. Was very pleasantly surprised by the amazing views. One of the highlights was being able to look across the valley to see Eagle Peak and the Yosemite Falls trail that I had just hiked. Views of Half Dome were awesome, too.

Steck Salathe  Sucess!

Climbed Steck Salathe (IV 5.10b) with Alix. A yosemite test-piece for wide climbing. Great day out, had a lot of fun. Burly in spots, but very enjoyable for the most part.
