yes, but it was within sight of our tent! It got dark as soon as we finished our rapell, so we scrambled down the west side fo the U-notch and then cross- country back to Bishop Pass. We reached the area around our tent at 3-4am but we couldn't find it!

Thanks! I'd say that (in a twisted sort of way) sunset is the nicest time to be up there - incredible country.
