ThanksThis fat bottom peak, being the highest peak of Iran is a symbol of Iran too, what I like is that the vast bottom (comparable to the area of a big city) gets that narrow (about 500m diameter) at the top. the picture is after 3 dry hot summer month, no sign of the thick snow, the puppys and flowers of the spring :)

Re: Beautifully Symmetrical PeakYes a dormant volcano. almost seen as a perfect cone from all faces. It has a great top-down height on some south ridges which rise from less than 1800m up to 5671m.
