Seven Lakes Road and Union Peak

This point is 2.4 mi from Union Pass Road. Yes, you need 4wd unless you are going to hike the road. From this point, the road makes a short, steep drop to a stream crossing.

Instead of continuing along the road from this point, strike out cross-country along gentle ridges and meadows to reach the summit of Union Peak.
