Very nice area and fun summit boulders. Clipped one section that was overgrown, otherwise the trail was in good condition. Sheephead is #7 on the Sierra Club San Diego Peak List, and was the 77th on the list that I completed, on 7/7/2017. A lucky hike for me!

I climbed this peak along with its nearby neighbor to the west, Cuyapaipe, on an HPS bagging morning in the Lagunas. Pleasant temps and fair skies and limited bushwhack made this a really nice experience.
