Sherburne Peak and Reservoir

Sherburne Peak rises far behind Lake Sherburne, as viewed from the High Traverse route to Snow Moon Basin. Lake Sherburne is actually a reservoir that provides water to the Blackfeet Nation bordering the entire eastern section of the park. As this photo was taken in September, water levels were quite low in the reservoir; in the middle of summer, there is no noticeable shoreline around most of the lake. September 2, 2008
