Sherwin Lakes
This is the largest and highest (~8,700') of the Sherwin Lakes. Gorgeous scenery with Laurel Mountain to the very left, Bloody Mountain in the center and peaks of the Sherwin Range to the right. "Duck Lake Peak" is the sharp and prominent peak in the distance to the right. May 29, 2010

Hard to be certain, but the peak looks like the one labeled 3681 on the 1994 topo. The cliffs below the bowl on the right seem to match.

Thanks Chad, I was thinking the same. It's amazing that this peak seems to have no official name. Strange. But thanks for checking. Cheers, Guido

Yes, that's Peak 3861 (12,052') above the northeast end of Duck Lake guys. I hiked it in 2000. It's class 2 from the lake. Will probably put up a Mountain rock report on it soon.

Thanks. But it's different than the peak that is sometimes unofficially referred to as "Sherwin Peak", right? Cheers.

That's right Guido. "Sherwin Peak" or "Pyramid Peak" is 1.7 miles northwest on the same ridge (11,728'). I put up a M&R on it a while back.

Are peaks of the Sherwin Range RIGHT or LEFT of center in your very fine image? The text may need to be clarified.
