Shields Lake as viewed from...
Shields Lake as viewed from Prusik Pass on 9-28-02. Plentiful camping sites can be found at several spots around this lake but be forewarned, this lake is often referred to as "mosquito hell" Take repellent and headnets in July and August. Cannon Mtn. can be accessed from the near end of the lake by contouring up to the left and onto the Druid Plateau.

The only lake I remember seeing from Aasgard Pass was Colchuck, and according to the map Prusik Pass should have a great view of Shield Lake. :-) Regardless, great pic!

Yikes, I did write Aasgard. Oops, I meant Prusik Pass. Thanks for catching my boo-boo and thanks for the comment on this pic. As you can tell, I'm a hopeless Enchantment junkie.

I hadn't really looked at it that way but you are right, it does look like an island. I haven't been up on that area yet and will need to include in my next trip. There is always room for more exploring. Thanks for your comment.
