The starting point is the hut called Dom v Kamniski Bistrici or if the macadam road is in good conditions you can drive to the lower place of the cargo cable car on Cojzova koca na Kokrskem sedlu where you park.

Route Description

From the parking place you continue in the forest over the hunting path and you must be careful that you choose the right of the hunting routes. If you will start steeply ascending in the south slopes of the ridge of Veliki Greben you know that you have chosen the right one. You will ascend on some turnings in the forest over the nice hunting path and before you will come out of the forest you will climb over some securedp place in the forest. Then you will soon come on the grassy slopes and then in the small valley Zmavcarji. You will reach the top of this valley on the left side of the valley on the east slopes of the Veliki Greben (Big ridge). Somewhere you will walk on the grassy slopes and somewhere over the screes. At the end of the valley you will turn to the left and over the last scree you will reach the bivouac Bivak pod Skuto (2070m).

From here the marked path is not far away, you just continue in the north direction and you will soon reach it.

Then you follow the signpost for the Skuta and ferrata over the east face. This ferrata is not very hard but you must be careful on some places. First you cross the east face and you climb over the some steep plates and then you come in the south face and over it to the top of Skuta.

You can descend by the same route or over the route that is called From Cojzova koca na Kokrskem sedlu and goes by hut Cojzova koca na Kokrskem sedlu (1793m).
