Has anyone tried to climb this peak from the avalanche lake side? I camped at the lake last summer and i just realize Siberia is one of the unnamed 13ers up above it
it looks pretty cool from Avalanche lake
Gorg,
No one to my knowledge has climbed it from that side. I'm also interested in that western-ish approach. After I get up it later this year, I want to check out Avy Creek and scope it for a route page to add here.
Good question.
I know a man who is a very astute climber, love scrambles who did do it from the Avalanche side. He said it was loose at points but a pleasant climb. It really is an amazing mountain with a fine summitt ridge of solid rock.
