Each tower has a sign in log, where climbers put the name of the route, and whatever comments they feel like. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | lcarreau | Too much time ? | |
Voted 10/10 | What are you doing, writing a thesis on the
correlation between flora and fauna in Eurasia, and how it relates to the rotation of the Earth in synchronicity with the amount of sunlight hitting the solid rock
you're resting on ??? ?
Yup .. that's what I thought you were doin'! : )

Voted 10/10 | I see, Liba, you were having time of your life. Funny - given your climbing experience - you hadn't climbed in there before. | | Posted Jul 7, 2010 4:53 am |

Voted 10/10 | No, no .. I'm counting on YOU to help me to
understand such matters.
"My ancestors sailed across the Big Pond on a ship,
They settled on America's west coast, and in
the salty water took a dip.
When they were finished rejoicing, they purchased a tract of land and got to work,
They all missed their European brew, but
somehow they managed by hook or crook."
Where in God's name is Moravia?
Okay, there it is! Hmmm, I might be Moravian
and not even know it! Interesting ...

Voted 10/10 | Great, that MUST be me.
I got "swindled and side-tracked" when my
ancestors moved over here to the states.
I WILL seek revenge in my NEXT life, when I fly over the Moravian hilltops as a Raven !!!
: ))

Voted 10/10 | Thanks, depends if you see the glass as being half empty or half full.
I wouldn't mind being a dog .. four legs !!!!
I could enjoy the "dog days" of summer, and it wouldn't even have to be SUMMER! : )) | | Posted Jul 8, 2010 1:32 pm |

Voted 10/10 | ...of the sandstone region each tower has it's own summit log-book? Because this is exactly what I saw so many times in the Sächsische Schweiz! For instance on the Bastei, next to Rathen, even the smallest of these rounded towers have climber's logs...sometimes people show a lot of humor in this direction as well...when driving from Königstein to Pirna, there is a roundabout, in the middle of which a rock of about two meters height was put - with a climber's log-book in a metal cassette on top! Now I wonder which is the more adventurous part of that route - crossing that road (where people often drive like nuts) or climbing that rock (in my case, it would be just simply reaching up with my hand :D)...
Next month we'll be spending another week in that area, and possibly do one or two visits again to ?eške Švýzarsko - I'm looking forward!
Cheers,
