East Ridge  Sucess!

Took the snow-packed road from 89 until I was below the East Bowl of Silver, then climbed up to the ridge and followed it to the summit. Skied the bowl on pretty good snow.

Silver Peak  Sucess!

Hiked up the road about 1 mile north of Silver Creek campground. Snowshoes or just boots the whole way- packed snow made it easy. Great views of Squaw Valley.

Silver Peak (NW Tahoe)  Sucess!

Figured this would be an easy peak to do to get away from it all. Did the peak on some crappy and old wooden snowshoes that I borrowed from my boss for kicks.
The round trip from the Olympic Village Inn took about two and half hours. You might want to think about adding an extra 30-45 minutes and climbing Peak 8,426 as well. The only surprising thing was the price that Squaw Valley Starbucks was charging for their small coffee $1.98.
