| climbed a snow couloir on the west face up to the ridge. There was 3-4 inches of fresh snow along the summit ridge from a storm the day before. | |

| Followed the 'standard' route, climbing the talus on the west side of the south ridge. Then I dropped off the east side of the ridge and headed over to Boulder Basin Peak. I think I saw enough talus to last me a while. | |

| Nice, fairly short climb from Silver Creek trailhead. The climb from the lake basin to the ridge isn't that fun with all that loose talus. But once on the ridge, the views are great and the climbing is pretty easy. We had wonderful weather for late fall, and only a little snow on the summit. | |

| I didnt particularly enjoy this trip too much for two reasons.. 1, it was damn cold for august! And I always need a little motivation when hiking so I like seeing the mountain occasionally before climbing up it. On silver, you only see it once you are basically on top of it. | |
