Boulder Mountains Trilogy  Sucess!

Fantastic day in the Boulders! Climbed the south ridge of Boulder Peak, traversed to Boulder Basin Peak, then circled around and climbed the steep SE face of Silver Peak. Then descended and followed the basin back to the trailhead. Trip Report

Not bad ... for the Boulders!  Sucess!

I hadn't had a chance to get out much this year, so I took an short-planning trip up and headed for Silver. It's a nice peak. A little grungy, but not too bad for the Boulders.

fun snow climb  Sucess!

climbed a snow couloir on the west face up to the ridge. There was 3-4 inches of fresh snow along the summit ridge from a storm the day before.

Good Late October Climb  Sucess!

Nice, fairly short climb from Silver Creek trailhead. The climb from the lake basin to the ridge isn't that fun with all that loose talus. But once on the ridge, the views are great and the climbing is pretty easy. We had wonderful weather for late fall, and only a little snow on the summit.

Route Climbed: South Ridge Date Climbed: August27th/04  Sucess!

I didnt particularly enjoy this trip too much for two reasons.. 1, it was damn cold for august! And I always need a little motivation when hiking so I like seeing the mountain occasionally before climbing up it. On silver, you only see it once you are basically on top of it.
