Silverheels North Spur

Silverheels North Spur

This is a view of the final 1400' or so from the "powerline saddle" to the summit of Silverheels. The steep ridge may require a little class 2+ scrambling and can be loose in places. This picture was taken on a snowy day, most of the snow on the ground fell the night before and that day (about 3"). Feb 23, 2008.

Good snow cover

Even if only a light coating, that's sure a lot more snow then it had whenever I've seen the peak. Gives the mountain a different look for sure.

Re: Good snow cover

Definitely! It was just enough to cover the grass and smaller rocks and give it a more "winter" look!
