Site of Injury

This is close to where Anna had her accident. The loose ground rock in this area just below Ingraham Flat is not to be trusted. I watched with horror as a large rock stuck Anna. There was a lot of blood. I checked Anna for signs of a concussion or brain injury. She seemed fine besides being scared by all the blood. I patched up the scalp laceration and we divided her gear amongst ourselves for the long trip down. I hope this is the last time I have to use my WFR training. Lesson to be learned: ALWAYS WEAR HELMETS IN SUCH AREAS! Photographed at 10,500 feet on Mount Rainier July 29, 2007.
