| Nice morning hike. Took Bear Ridge there and came back through the canyon. Added Boy Scout Peak also and disturbed a rattlesnake on that summit. That always gets the blood pumping! | |

| Climbed after a quick hike to the San Mateo Canyon Wilderness Highpoint earlier in the day. I accidentally climbed Boy Scout Peak first because someone had turned the trail sign near Sitton Peak to point to Boy Scout Peak instead. Since I wasn't paying attention to my map and just following the signs, I got to the top and immediately knew something wasn't right since I wasn't on the highest point around. Not a big deal since it was a short side trip. I fixed the sign when I got back down to it and continued on to Sitton without incident. The trail to Sitton after you leave the road is steep! | |
