Easy traverse over from Eagle Peak and up the gentle north side, then headed over towards Diller.

A great winter summit in LVNP

This is a great peak for a first time foray into Lassen Volcanic National Park during winter. Few route finding challenges coupled with extraordinary views. I have lost count of my visits to this magic summit.

Acclimation for Shasta

With Lassen Peak still closed and nothing else of any height around Shasta decided to combo this with Eagle Peak. Very easy, not sure we got a lot of acclimation benefits though. Trip report is HERE.

Ski-heil!!

I love the name of this fine peak! A winter greeting in the Alps. Health and happiness, good skiing to everyone. I don't know how many folks have skied from the top here but the mountain's gentle, rolling top side is very relaxing. My route up was not relaxing, leaving the car at a turnout at Emerald Lake, making my way through snow around the lake to the south slope of the peak I marched straight up. Now and then I'd cross faint use trails that zigged und zagged, but straight up was very productive. The views: Phenomenal.
