Is this your first effort to add a mountain. I have given you two stars if it is your first effort. What you have to do is to add more pictures from your trip. Mountain pictures, to get there pictures and more information about the mountain. I always try my best to help pages link with Pakistan. Any previous expeditions attempted this peak and more on...

Now with more picture page look perfect, need text info on base camp condition, walk info from K2 base, your recommendation for days require to climb from bc, unclimbed route info if any and in final thanks for your help in promoting Pakistan's mountain on SP.

Vastly improved.

Has it been climbed since 1957? By whom and by what routes?

What does "Skil Brum" mean and why was that name chosen?

As its your first mountain page, you are relatively new here on SP, and the page contains historical material about the first ascent, I give you 3 stars for it, Fritz, but I hope that in the near future you can add more information to the main page as at the moment it is rather thin for such a big mountain.

Edit: December 17, 2005. OK, you keep working on the page so an extra star for that!

Good page. Fritz, it's a great honor your presence in SP, I have read a lot on the Broad Peak and I have various books signed by Kurt.

Not everyday does Summitpost receive a summitlog of the first ascent! I thought the black and white pictures were great, especially the ski approach (Mt Ski Brum). Reminded me of many 1950's books on alpinism including those on K2, Nanga Parbat, Annapurna, Rakaposhi and culminating in Fosco Mariani's book on the Karakoram.

PS what were the three 4000 meter peaks in the Alps less favored?
