  1. Skunks, raccoons, mongooses and relatives (EXCLUDING Mustelidae or weasels).

This album was established for photos of carnivorous mammals superficially similar to the weasels, family Mustelidae (since a fine album for them already exists). Skunks were formerly classified as Mustelidae, but most mammalogists have followed a technical publication (dated 1997) which splits them off into their own family: Mephitidae. Also included in this album are the Procyonidae (raccoons and relatives), the mongoose family Herpestidae and the civet family Viverridae. Please feel free to post photos of such here.
