Slate Gorge

[ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Slate Gorge
As it makes its way down the canyon, the Provo River has carved a deep slot in the earth where sedimentary layers have given way to waterfalls and other interesting features. This area is known as Slate Gorge and is worth a stop along the Mirror Lake Highway. There are no trails to the bottom, but it is worth the view.
