| Decided to hike up here after visiting point 9081. Mt. Rose Ski Area was closed due to wind. Around an 80-90mph wind was driving sleet horizontally across the summit. | ||

| We just followed the ski run maintenance roads from the parking lot of the old Slide Mountain Ski Resort (now part of Mt Rose resort) around and up the mountain. | |
