	We were busy this Saturday so we needed a short and easy mountain to climb. On the map, Slide Mountain in the Elkheads seemed to be just the ticket. Maps can be deceiving however, and it was quickly apparent that the joke was on us and that the mountain was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It was a struggle against bushes, slippery slopes and thistles and it took twice as long to climb than we thought it would. There were literally hundreds of ravens circling overhead as well. Weird.
