Sloan Peak in the distance at...
Sloan Peak in the distance at left. Photo taken from Goblin Mountain late in the day on Sept. 22, 2001. The highest point of Goblin is the block pictured. It is an interesting bouldering problem to get to the top (class 5.2 from behind where Suzy Jung is standing to the pedestal just to the right of the knife-edge top). From there I reached out for the top. To sit on the top would require an exposed chaval move. The left (west) side of the block is overhanging. Glacier Peak is visible on the horizon at right.
