Are those jagged peaks to the SW of Sloan
called "The Monte Cristo Group?"

	Hasn't voted	Yes Icarreau!!! That is the north face of the Monte Cristo Group or some use to call Pride Of The Mountains Range. They are a pretty neat group of Peaks.

	Voted 10/10	Agreed.. Too bad I never visited them when living in Washington. Personally, I think your photo should have got POTD, but it really shows off some of the rugged scenes in that area. Awesome..

Back in the days (2005) I hiked up here when the marmots were squeaking a lot during sunset while at Stujack Pass, but I loved to watch the red colors on Sloan Peak. I've seen this moment many times, sadly no camera. But thanks for capturing this.
