"baby"?This looks like an adult Northern Saw-Whet. They only grow 7 or 8 inches long - same size as a baltimore oriole.

Re: StrangeI shot this photo at around 10k on the NF of Big Pine Creek trail, the eastern approach to the Palisades. This little guy hung around our camp for an hour or so.

CoolCool little owl, I see a few of those around the mountain range I climb every year, and they are pretty cool.
