Small Pond, Slopes of Mt. Baker

Small pond on the slopes of Mt. Baker near Freshfield Pass. This is where the route up Mount Baker, which had been heading straight up the slopes turns to the left and traverses generally along the west (right) side of the ridge.

The Rwenzori were the place above all others that I wanted to visit within my life, but I waited for 30 years to visit them between the wars, personal economics, etc. They were worth every minute of that wait. They are truly one of the earth's most astonishing places. As I said, your photos inspire me to visit places that I previously didn't even know exist.
