Lot of people!  Sucess!

I don't know if was a good idea to climb it on summer. Thousands of people on the top!! mostly of them get it there by telecabin. But was nice to hike in almost lonelyness of the paths and woods.

Through Obri Dul  Sucess!

Easy hike through Obri Dul, got nice weather, but strong wind. Exciting views of Poland and Czech Republic from the summit.

On the peak at 7 am  Sucess!

Though I was there in high season - at the beginning of August - I met hardly any people. I started the ascent early in the morning and so I was on the summit at 7 am. I descended quickly and then I had my good breakfast in our B&B

Two times  Sucess!

Climbed Snezka from Pec via Obri dul with my wife. I had my daughter in a backpack. We made a bonus loop from Obri Sedlo before walking amongst crowds to the summiut. Took the lift down.
4 days later we hiking to Snezka again. This time from the Horni Mala Upa pass. Nice weather on both occasions.

Hard condition winter ascent  Sucess!

Poor visibility, extremely strong wind, low temperature. Śnieżka is worth checking, however, despite low elevation it can be dangerous.

In general I've made 5 ascents (2 times in winter, 2 in spirng, 1 in summer) and visibility was nice only once ;)

Traverse   Sucess!

One benefit of being without a car, the freedom to go up and down in different countries. It's a rainy day so I took advantage of the lift from Pec Pod Snezkou, which saved me at least a few hours at a cost of 210 Czech units of currency. No views were lost so I didn't regret it much. I descended by trail to Karpacz, Poland. There were a few others on the trail, including one large school group. The rain finally stopped once I was well down the hill into Jelenia Gora.

The summit has at least two restaurants and a full service bar, gift shops and a church. During my brief visit I was the only visitor and the church was closed. I believe it can get crowded in the right circumstances.

Second year in a row  Sucess!

Much nicer weather than last year, especially because there wasn't all that much wind. The actual summit was mostly in clouds, but below 1500 m or so visibility was fine.

I ascended from Karpacz via Sowia Dolia and then followed the east ridge.

From Kowary  Sucess!

I last climbed Śnieżka on 9 Sep 2016. It was the first time I'd done the route from Kowary and I wasn't disappointed – an exceptional elevation gain for the Karkonosze, hardly any people until Budniki. The descent to Karpacz via the valley of Łomniczka - pleasant as always, no crowd either.

Sunny but stormy on top  Sucess!

circuit  Sucess!

Nice hike up to the summit from Pec. I went on going first to spend the night at Lucni Hut following a long but easy way (sometimes on paved road). very advisable to spend the night there and visit Europe's highest brewery and learn more about the Sudeten stories. From there, next day, easy ascent, again with wonderful weather up to summit (4km in distance but only 200 m to climb). Nice hike, nice view.

A first attempt in January 2010 got stuck in waist-deep snow. Returned in October and tamed the beast on a sunny day.
