| BIG snowshoe day up Willow Creek, over Collier Peak, then up through the clouds to Snowbank. Wouldn't have made it without the Platt brothers breaking trail! Here's a trip report with photos. | |

| Although you can drive to the top in the summer, we snowshoed up from the valley floor. Our route went from the West Mountain Road, up Willow Creek, over Collier Peak, and eventually made it to the radio towers. Deep, heavy snow made for lots of work. | Bob Bolton and I visited this peak prior to going over to do the county highpoint of Gem county. You can see the cohp from Snowbank mtn and could easily do a cross country walk over to it, which would be preferable to the convoluted and confusing drive we had to make to make our way over to where it was a five mile hike. I'll post some pics. | |

| Nice drive. ! took my wife so I had to do something she'd enjoy too. There was still a LOT of snow near the to! There were still people snowmobiling and snowboarding in June! | |
