| Joseph Claghorn | Best Mountain in Britain ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 29, 2009 | |
| Took Watkin up, and the parallel route down. Definitely recommend this ascent as it passes from forest, by cascades, and through old slate mines to create a varied hiking experience (although I haven't tried the others). I started rather late and the threat of rain kept anyone else from trying, but had great late afternoon views and the mountain all to myself since the tram had closed by the time I got to the top. Did this as part of a blitz of Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis. Enjoyed the highest point of Wales the most. | ||

| APennineMan | A great mountain, shame about the cafe ![]() | |
| Ascended via Crib Goch as my first 3000ft'er- memorable for a non-scrambling friend getting scared silly, the sheer scale and majesty of the mountain, ease of the scrambling and true 'mountaineering' feel it gives. It's such a shame it's spoilt by the cafe and clueless people, yet somehow the mountain loses nothing of it's grandeur or appeal to climb it. | ||

| Big Benn | 8 times now! ![]() Date Climbed: Feb 13, 2009 | |
| Now gone up all seven main walking trails since my first ascent in August 2008. I'm counting the Miners and Pyg track as different routes. It's 8 actual times to the top now, (Rangers path twice), with 5 of the ascents in winter conditions. Thanks to the excellent Snowdon page on SP I've identified several more routes up that should be within my capabilities, so watch this space! Edited to add that I went up this lovely mountain again on March 6th, (Rangers Path), and March 8th, (Pyg track). Both days in winter conditions higher up. Not sure what I will do with my time when the snows melt and the railway line re-opens! | ||

| dpryan999 | PYG up, Miner's down ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 17, 2005 | |
| Ascent via PYG Trail, descent by Miner's Track. Weather at the start was lovely and clear, but the summit was cold and wet. Hot cocoa on the summit a nice treat, but not the hordes of tourists. | ||

| barryg | A typical August day in Wales ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 4, 2007 | |
| Reached the summit via the Llanberis path on a miserably wet and windy day. No good views at all, only the desire to make the summit made us keep going. Hoping to return soon for a second attempt along another route. | ||

| Big Benn | First Summit for a While ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 18, 2008 | |
| Went up the Snowdon Rangers path in, (for me), perfect weather: very high winds and torrential rain. Came back down the boring Llanberis Path. My first mountain since losing my darling Bobbie. Going back soon to do a different route to the top. Went up to the summit with Lolli and dadndave, (also from SP), during a superb period of time spent with Lolli and dadndave and his lovely family. | ||

| Andy_Hornung | many many times ![]() | |
| First climbed Yr Wyddfa at the age of 6 back in summer of 1971, and had climbed 6 times by the age of 13, including ascents by the Llanberis path, miners path, PYG track and Snowdon Ranger. Climbed it numerous more times between '82 and 86 as a student in Bangor, and yet more since. Best in winter when there's plently of snow about, especially on the north face. But standing on the summit watching the sun come up on the summer solstice in 1997 (I think) at the start of a successful circuit of the Welsh 3000's probably takes the biscuit. | ||

| Best done in Spring/Autumn to avoid the crowds, enjoyable nonetheless though. Remember the short walk to Garnedd Ugain if you're bagging Welsh 3000's! | ||

| DrJonnie | Start of the Welsh 3000s ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 29, 2005 | |
| Having done most routes up over the years in all seasons including the gulleys of Central Trinity and Parsley Fern, I wanted to do the Welsh 3000s. Ken and I parked at Pen Y Pass and we went up via the PYG track and zig-zags. Descending over Crib Goch I slipped and twisted my ankle. I tried to walk it off down the North ridge into Llanberis but finally had to give in at Blaen Y Nant. Still want to do the 3000s in one tour one day. | ||

| mountainmanmark | Snowdon once more ![]() | |
| Snowdon is one of those mountains you keep coming back to. Having lived in North Wales I have forgotten how many times it must have been, well into double figures, yet it never fails to inspire. Longest route: From Bangor Pier along the old railway. Greatest memory: Coming down late one night after some heavy snow, to have the huge clouds part, the deep black backdrop of space and the moon appear in the midst! Favorite route: Clogwyn Y Person Arete. | ||

| Ejnar Fjerdingstad | By Snowdon Ranger Route ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 26, 1976 | |
| With our son (10) and daughter (8). A fairly easy hike with one steep part, but we met a group of British soldiers one of whom had slipped and got a gash in his knee, they didn't need help, though. The weather was quite good, and the scenery lovely. The relatively large height to be climbed (942 m, 3140 ft.) gave it a near Alpine feel as far as the duration goes, but both kids did well. | ||

| J Fox | Snowdon Horseshoe ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 9, 2003 | |
| I climbed this with my wife on a hot sunny day. We had a blast on the horseshoe. We both particularly enjoyed the scramble on Crib Goch. Although it was quite jarring to reach the summit and run into hordes of tourists who had taken the train to the summit. | ||
