Overview"Somamoos" also "samamoos" has different meaning in Farsi language such as "Sky Mountain" , "Nest of Hawk" and "Samam Mountain".
This beautiful mountain is located at south of Ramsar city and at the border of two northern province of Iran : Mazandaran & Gilan .
Sea of clouds is a common scenery from top of Somamos when you are standing toward Caspean Sea .
Many beautiful flowers and runnig horses in grassland are unforgottable sights and sceneries !Getting ThereFrom Tehran you can take a bus or car to Ramsar city via Tehran-Chaloos road (about 220 km.).
There is a long slope road from Ramsar to Javaherdeh village through a foggy and bushy jungle (about 33 km.). You can rent a 4*4 car (such as Jeep) from Ramsar .
It is usually raining heavily , specially in spring . If it will be sunny , you can reach the summit from Javaherdeh with 5 hrs. treking .Red TapeThere is no Red Tape .
CampingCamping is allowed in the region . You can also rent a house in Javaherdeh village .
There is no hut in the mountain , but there is a little stone shrine (in Farsi : "Imamzade") on the summit .
