Somehow I came down there last night!

Quebrada Huancane, south east of Maca, Peru. It was well after darkness when I descended this, yesterday evening. Fortunately, for the most part there was a good trail - though at some point I lost it. I followed followed a dry river bed for a while, which was slow going as there were some steep bits to negotiate, until I finally picked up the trail again. Looking back, I cannot imagine that I came down directly, it must have been somewhere on the left. 11 May 2011.
