| South-east rigde. Bad weather, snow and rain, specially on the way down. No views at all from the Summit. Still, a nice climb! | ||

| This route is easily found due to red marks. Might be quite difficult when the rock is wet or covered with snow. For us it was the limit (at excellent conditions) we could climb without use of a rope. We took the direct couloir for the descent (which is not recommended due to rock fall) since it is much easier. 100 m down a 45 degree snow field (icy) and then crumbled rock. Rock fall could not be avoided during descent but we managed it by only climbing one at a time. Descent is *not* possible when another party is in that "route". Chance to get hit by a melon-big loose rock (and even bigger) is in the near of 100%. | ||

| Very clear and sunny weather, fantastic views from the summit and 'en route' through the snowy landscape. It was a beautiful day until on the way down our group got hit by an avalanche of ice blocks, somewhere near the Schwarzwandspitze a huge ice sheet or something must have collapsed. We didn't see any of those on the way up. Only one member of the group got hit (luckily?). He suffered a shattered shoulderplate and some broken ribs. The aluminium framework of his backpack probably saved his life there.. BTW - you'll love the Siegerlandhutte huttenwirt's daughter ;-) | ||

| it was a nice climb on a cloudy day - first rock then ice. I remember there was a crevasse on the very summit and I almost fell into it! | ||

| On a very cloudy day we reached the summit over the Übeltalferner and then over the south-east ridge (I-II) to the summit. | ||
