South Ariel Peak

South Ariel Peak
A photo from today of Tanya on top of the peak, South Ariel Peak, just in front of Aries Butte on the east side of Zion National Park. We went to Zion to see what we could find to hike that we had not done yet, but most things were muddy or snow covered since it had rained like crazy and had snowed the last two day. We parked and decided the mountain right in front of us looked good, so up we went. The rock was so wet it would crumble in our hands as we tried to get hand holds. Great hike though! Fun trip.

Yeah, I know the feeling! There's plenty to see & do, when you're within the realms of what many consider to be the most beautiful area in the United States.

There's a connection between dreams and reality; its called a climbing rope. Don't worry about Alaska, I don't think it will be disappearing anytime soon. Who was the photographer? Thank you for sharing this wonderful picture. Snow means water. Awesome, yet true.

Thanks!

Bo, my hiking partner took it. There is one of him on the same peak on his profile. We did not plan to climb anything so we did not have a rope. Some nice person did leave us a shirt and a long red ribbon up about 3/4 of the way. That ribbon came in handy. ;p On our second hike of the day, we scored several beer cans and other goodies.

done that, as far as picking up after other people goes. All it takes is just an OUNCE of respect for the environment, and probably respect for ONE'S SELF for that matter.

Gee, why do I always get side-tracked on these serious matters.? Seems like a person should be out doing something creative and fun. Life's too short to do otherwise. Okay, I'll check with Bo's photos. Thank you, tanya!!!
