Just ok  Sucess!

After summiting North Chilco, not as nice of views as North Chilco. The actual high point is different than the marked summit. Some snow on the ridge still and plenty of blow downs to navigate.

no views but nice forest  Sucess!

After doing North Chilco. Pretty beargrass and huckleberry forest hike. Only view is a bit before the summit on the left of the Cabinets and if you go out right a bit, back to North Chilco.

South Chilco  Sucess!

Pleasant trail but the HP is a dud.

More Nice Views  Sucess!

Another cute little mountain. Good views from the ridge a few minutes south of the true summit. Came over from North Chilco and the north TH. 4 hours round trip on a good trail if you hike quickly.

Trail from the south  Sucess!

Hiked up the trail from the south. Also hiked this mountain twice in the 1980s.

Standard Trail  Sucess!

Much snow was encountered up high, but firm enough to cruise up without snow shoes. Memory tells me that much of the trail up high is on the east side of the ridge. Certainly was the first one up for the season.

June 27, 2004. Second trip to check it out without the snow. Heavy use is accurate as I encountered a group of 4/5 motorcyclists on the summit.
