| Winter camped at the base of Macomb. Went up the Macomb slide over to South Dix. Came down Lillian Brook on broken trail, nicely packed, which was in terrific shape. Used snow shoes the whole time, no crampons. never needed ice axe, but it I could have while going up the Macomb slide. | |

| Did this as part of a one-day Dix Range Traverse. Came up the Macomb slide and then down the herd path to South Dix. Beautiful sunny day with a few clouds here and there. Personally, I think better views are to be had on any of the other 4 in the Dix Range. | |

| Lots of snow!!! It was warm with wet snow and the trail was obscured. We went through a bunch of spruce traps to make the summit. Could not see a thing. Headed out to East Dix and then returned home via Lillian Brook route as nothing over to Macomb had been broken out and the day was quickly passing. | |

| Climbed with Macomb, East Dix and Hough via the Dix Trail from the Elk Lake Lodge. A steep descent over from Macomb. Just below the summit a rocky and exposed boulder field gives way to excellent views of the surrounding peaks of the Dix Range. | |

| After bagging Dix and Hough, we headed to S. Dix (now Carson). Neat summit and relatively easy to get to. From here we headed on to E. Dix (now Grace). #34/46! : ) | |

| After reaching the Macomb summit, I followed the ridge northward to South Dix. A large portion of South Dix is wonderful open rocks allowing for wonderful views. I placed the two towers on this rock is remembrance of the WTC bombing that happened only a few days before this hike. | |
