For the money
Started at Swift Creek, took the ridge from Robert's and did North Emmons on the way, bypassed Mt Emmons though. Descended between the saddle of South Emmons and Owl Mountain. This ended up being much more of a mental test than anything else. It was around 6600 feet of climbing and over 16 miles to make it this far. The elevation had been bothering me for a while so every step I was feeling it. And breathing wasn't easy either because of the smoke.
This also meant that I had summitted every 13000 foot mountain in Utah, all of them on day hikes. Other than King's Peak, I was the only person on all the mountains other than the occasional person I brought along.
Off the trail around 9pm, the fire even more visible in the distance. Totally worth it though

August 13, 2016 I backpacked into the Chain Lakes, and camped. Next day I backpacked to Lake Beard above Lake Atwood. August 15 I backpacked over 5 peaks, namely Trail Rider Peak (aka Ramp Peak) at 13247 ft, Roberts Peak (aka Pyramid Peak) at 13287 ft, North Emmons (aka Pinnacle Peak) at 13068 ft, South Emmons (aka Glacier Peak) at 13170 ft, and Mt Emmons at 13440 ft.
From Emmons I dropped down to Oke Doke Lake and camp above the 4th Chain Lake.

July-15-20010 Hiked Kings Peak, S Kings Peak, "Painter Peak", "Trail Rider Peak", "Roberts Peak", "N Emmons", Mount Emmons, "S Emmons", "Owl", Lost Benchmark, and Flattop Benchmark in one 21 hour day. Started at Henrys Fork on the north slope and ended at Dry Gulch on the south slope.

May-26-2009 Started at the Swift Creek TH and followed the trail to the second big crossing of Swift Creek. From there, bushwhacked up the Buffalo Creek drainage to the ridge and then climbed Owl/12826, S Emmons, and Emmons.
June-18-2008 Started at the Swift Creek TH. Bushwhacked to Water Lily Lake and then to 11841, Owl/12826, S Emmons, and Emmons.

South EmmonsI summitted South Emmons via Dry Gulch in August 1997.
I've also climbed the main summit of Mount Emmons a few times from both Swift Creek and the Uinta River on earlier dates.
