South Face Of Wolfs Head | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
South face of Wolfs Head peak as seen on the approach to East Ridge route. The grassy ledges "approach" to the route proper can be seen on the right (early August 2004). Comments[ Post a Comment ] | Alan Ellis | Grassy Ledges | |
Voted 10/10 | Radek, I was a little disappointed that there was not a route overlay showing the route up the grassy ledges. :-) | | Posted Aug 13, 2004 4:22 pm |

Hasn't voted | sorry Alan,
don't know what mind-blocking fit came over me that I did not include the overlay :)
....maybe my mind is trying to suppress memories of that so-called class 4, dirty, wet and dripping nightmare of an approach! | | Posted Aug 13, 2004 4:40 pm |

Hasn't voted | Don't know since we have not done Tiger variation. However, having done the ledges, I'd definitely try Tiger next time (probably more pleasant and scenic). Ledges though easy were wet, dripping, slippery, and I'd say harder than 4th class. I would not do them unroped (of course many others do). | | Posted Aug 17, 2004 12:05 pm |
