| Higher avy danger in the high mountains with iffy weather conditions pushed me to here. The south summit stunk in terms of views but the northern summit actually had some views and a place to sit. Snow was roughly 3 to 6 inches to the summit. Route up to the summit had a lot of fallen limbs on it. | |

| Failed on my first attempt. The snow was deep, slow. Ran out of time as I had to turn around to get home to watch Tom Brady lead the Patriots to a Super Bowl victory to complete their undefeated season. Oh no, the Giants win and no summit for me. This was such a lame failure that I just had to come back again the next week to clean it up. No idea which of the two highpoints in higher. | |

| The weather brought a little of everything during today's summit hike: Sun, rain, drizzle, fog, snow, hail. No views at the summit, either, because of the thick forested mountaintop. There is a register at the summit, but it is full. A new notepad/ register should be brought to the summit, sometime. | |
