Approach

See Getting There.

Route Description

Trailhead Elevation: 12550 ft (just below Cinnamon Pass)
One way distance per my GPS: 1.2 miles
Approximate Hiking Time (one way uphill): 1:15 hours

From the trailhead, hike the two-track across the grassy fields until it makes a switchback and ends at the base of Wood's southeast ridge between the summit and Point 13112 ft. You will find a bunch of logs from a demolished cabin in this area.

Hike the ridgeline up the gravel/talus slopes to the summit.

Essential Gear

In summer, nothing besides hiking boots. Snowfields can be easily avoided.
