Super pic

Ah Radek, what a great shot. I need to climb the west summit and this pic just gives me all kind of inspiration.

Re: Super pic

Thanks again Dean,

Not sure which route you have in mind for your climb of Daniel but if you are going for the SE Ridge route, you won't need your ice ax or crampons (assuming we don't get a ton of snow this week :) ) - it's totally dry!

Re: Super pic

Radek, we did indeed go up the SE ridge. What a cool route. I'm impressed that you were able to get 'Blondie" up that route, particularly if you stayed on the ridge all the way to the saddle. \

Anyway, thanks for the inspiration your report and pics gave. Our weather was awesome yesterday and it was a great day to be in the mountains, actually shirt sleeve weather most of the day.

Re: Super pic

Dean,

good to hear you made the climb last weekend. The weather was great I'm sure. We were nearby (bit further NW) and it was nearly perfect. Thank you for the comments on the photos. I'm looking forward to checking out your pictures from this trip. We actually did stay on the ridge and the dog just needed a "collar belay" in one spot - where the ridge turns north heading directly for the E. Summit - there was one awkward notch to go through. Still hoping to make that Red Mtn. climb you posted this year.

Re: Super pic

Thanks for the clarification on "Blondie' Yeah, that notch was the spot I was thinking about. I hope you can nail down Red Mtn, I think you'll find it interesting.
