Southeast slopes route...

Southeast slopes route 5-23-99. This is taken
about halfway between the top of St. Mary's
and the base of James looming in straight
ahead. This photo shows part of the steep
east face (far right) as well as the huge
southeast slope that can be awesome corn
skiing. The ridge to the right of the open
slope is often used by non-skiing folks. This
is safer if the avalanche danger is high,
though the southeast slope probably does not
go over 30 degrees in steepness.
