| Climbed with Vern Ingraham and bagged Pinchot on the return. We hiked up the Coal Creek trail to Martha's Basin after fording the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Ran into an old Grizzly when we came to the saddle between Pinchot and Stimson. | |

| Lots of side-hilling around Pinchot. Reaching that saddle was very pleasant on my feet because I knew although there was a long, steep climb up the face ahead at least I wouldn't be walking on the side of my feet anymore. Myself and two other's summited to a sunny but hazy day. MFTC. NWC. | |
