Re: Fantastic

Figuring out all the peaks in this photo was actually my most enjoyable part of putting my last page together, but I won't turn down any cash.

Thanks Paulo!

Awesome shot!

Great view of Kearsarge Pass and the Kearsarge Pinnacles. Feels like I'm standing there with you! Well done. CJ

Agree with the rest

Fantastic pano! Good camera detail. You can also see the 2 horns of Williamson to the right of Keith and Whitney to the right of Tyndall.

Re: Agree with the rest

Ah good catch (thinking you made a typo and knew Whitney was left of Tyndall). I was torn over whether that was Whitney, Barnard, Russell, etc... But you provoked me to look at my photos from my trip to Williamson, they confirm it is Whitney. Technically it looks like you can see the summit of Williamson too, barely shows as a dark patch (easier to see on the non-stiched original full size photo). I'll add labels for them tomorrow. And thanks for the compliment!

Re: Agree with the rest

Yeah, I meant left. Btw what kind of camera do you have? It takes really clear pics.

Re: Agree with the rest

My camera is absolutely nothing special. It's a Canon PowerShot SD870IS. Doesn't even have all the features (like long exposures) that I would like. And I need a new one soon, it has gotten pretty banged up from my outings, several dents and the screen is damanged in two spots. But it is light and the lens still works good so not a priority just yet.

Re: Agree with the rest

Ha! That's great. I have a Canon Rebel xsi. Maybe I should downgrade!

Re: Stitch?

Thank you LungFruit.

Yes, this is actually 6 different photos stitched together. I use Hugin to do the stitching. Works pretty well.

Beautiful Shot(s)

One of my favorite views in the Sierra- looking south at the rugged Kings-Kern region. Very well composed. Looks like mid to late afternoon. Time to head back to camp or TH for dinner?

Re: Beautiful Shot(s)

Thank you very much boyblue.

Yes, it was late in the day. I had carried my pack over Gould and over to Rixford, with plans to do more the next day. Headed down just as the sun was setting. Camped above Charlotte Lake, downside was that I was selecting a campsite in the dark. Manage to get a nice handful of peaks over that 4-day weekend, loved the trip.

Great Panorama

A wonderful pic! I'd like to do that peak (Rixford) some day. I like picking peaks out too. You did a great job, but you forgot Deerhorn in front of Stanford... LOL

Re: Great Panorama

I think Deerhorn is in front of Ericsson (from this angle).

;-)

Thanks for the comment!
